FAQ - What to know before your Big Day!

We’re going to be spending one of the most important days of your life together.

Well, don’t worry, you’re in very safe hands. Why? Because I pride myself on getting to know you, making you feel relaxed and comfortable, so you have nothing to worry about and can just enjoy your wedding day.

About the Process

Some Common Questions

Obviously the sooner you can let me have your dates the better as I can often be booked for certain dates a year in advance. If you don’t have an exact date confirmed I’m always happy to pencil you in.

I will get some ‘sneak peaks’ of the wedding to you early the next day. Then once you are back from Honeymoon I’ll have all you files ready for you. I edit out the blurred, blinks and duplicates but you get all the photos from the day for you to share with your friends and family.

Whilst I am mainly based in the Essex area I am happy to travel wherever you need me to. I’ve done weddings in Kent, Surrey, Norfolk and even Wales.

I offer a range of packages to suit your budget. You may be having a simple small registry office ceremony and then a small recaption, that’s fine and I can accommodate this with my simple package. However for a larger wedding I suggest my Premium package, this include; pre-wedding sessions of the bride and groom getting ready, the whole day and evening including that all important first dance and party.

That’s exactly what I love to hear! Just send me a message and we’ll take it from there. We can set up a call or hop on Zoom, whatever works best for you. Then I can hear all about your plans and what matters most to you both.

It’s also a great chance for you to get to know me better and make sure I’m the 100% perfect fit for your day. Once we’ve had a proper chat and you’re feeling excited to move forward, we’ll get your date secured and the fun can truly begin!

I totally understand what it feels like to be camera-shy — in fact, it’s one of the reasons I fell in love with being behind the lens instead of in front of it. But here’s the thing: you don’t have to feel that way on your wedding day.

My goal is to make your photography experience feel effortless, natural, and genuinely enjoyable. Over the years, I’ve learned how to strike the perfect balance between gentle direction and letting real moments unfold. I know the little tricks that bring out your most authentic, confident self — no stiff poses, no over-editing, just the most beautiful, honest version of you.

And yes, I’m also a pro at catching those candid, blink-and-you-miss-it moments — like your dad (who swore he wouldn’t smile for a single photo) mid-laugh during your vows. Those are the moments that make your wedding story truly yours, and I’m here to capture every one of them.

Then it rains — and we roll with it! A little water won’t dampen your joy, and it definitely won’t stop us from creating something beautiful. There’s a lovely saying: “A knot tied in the rain is never undone.” So embrace it, enjoy the moment, and I’ll be right there with you, capturing the magic.

Rain can actually make for some incredibly romantic, creative photos — and with a few schedule tweaks, we can always find time to sneak away for those perfect shots. I promise, no wedding has ever been totally ruined by a little rain.

Absolutely — without question. Honestly, it breaks my heart that this still needs to be asked, but I completely understand why.

Everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and celebrated exactly as they are. I welcome all love and all people, always. You, your partner, your family — you’ll be treated with the same warmth, respect, and care as I’d give my own loved ones. Love is love, and it’s an honor to capture it in all its forms.

Yes, absolutely. My background as a photojournalist for a local newspaper gave me the incredible opportunity to work in diverse, multicultural communities, documenting events from a wide range of religious and cultural traditions. That experience not only gave me a deep respect for different customs, but also a genuine love for learning about them.

While I may not have photographed a wedding exactly like yours, every wedding is unique — I approach each one with curiosity, care, and professionalism. I take the time to research, ask questions, and understand what’s important to you, so nothing is missed and you can relax knowing you’re in good hands.

For me, it’s all about capturing the love, the meaning, and the moments that matter most — no matter what form they take.
