This is just a little bit About Me, reflecting my passion for capturing life’s moments.
I could give you a big speech about how I studied photography at Uni, that I used to work as a photojournalist for a local newspaper and all my other credentials, but that’s not really telling you who I truly am, is it?
First and foremost, I am a wife to Scott and a mum to Rory (plus our Labrador, Dexter!)
Family really is everything to me and a big part of why I went into wedding and family photography. Because I know the importance of having those wonderful memories captured forever.

I pride myself on getting to know you, not just your wedding plans, so you feel relaxed and comfortable instead of worrying about how the pictures look.

I’m all about capturing the natural candid moments happening in front of me.
I work efficiently and quickly to capture your groups without you feeling like a statue standing around for hours.
Later I take you both off for a nice little walk to capture your couples’ pictures, giving you some precious time together, and to let it all sink in that you’re actually married!

Yes, photography is my job but it’s also what I’m most passionate about, it’s a huge part of my life and has been since I was very little, before I even had the understanding that I could actually do it for a living. I’ve come a long way from a child, photographing flowers in the garden with a little disposable camera or snapping holiday pictures on my funky orange compact camera.
If I’m not photographing or editing, I’m usually either snuggled up on the sofa binge watching the newest true crime drama or rewatching for the millionth time my all-time favourite films and shows; Harry Potter (I’m a Ravenclaw if you’re wondering!), Bridget Jone or the latest Netflix series.
I love being out in nature, whether that be doing a bit of gardening, taking Dexter for a walk in the park or a mini break away with the family to a cabin in the woods.
I have a vast collection of vintage cameras and always on the lookout for more despite there being no space in the house!
I love gaming, before Rory came along this used to be on PlayStation but now it’s playing UNO on my phone or getting the Rummikub out. My biggest competition is my sister Jess and we would spend hours playing during our trips in the caravan with my grandparents when we were little.
I love to travel and see the world. I’ve been incredibly lucky to experience some unforgettable holidays with my family. The highlight being a once in a lifetime trip to Africa where we got to go on safari and camp surrounded by amazing animals. Our home from home now is Spain, we go almost every year and with a cocktail in my hand, watching Rory fall in love with our paradise over and over again is just the best feeling in the world!
Finally, I’m a foodie! I adore trying new things, experiencing different cuisines and restaurants, and have done from a very young age. I’d always rather have dinner with friends than go clubbing! Having all my loved ones around the table just fills me with so much joy and is such a nostalgic feeling!
What’s my name?
Well, my full name and what I go by are actually two different things! From a very young age I’ve always been “Ellie” the only time I’d be called “Elinor” would be if I was in trouble or elderly relatives were visiting. In fact, many friends don’t even know my full name.
I also kept my maiden name for my business “Hoskins”, my married name is “Driscoll”. There were many reasons for this but the main being, my Mum and Dad had two girls so the Hoskins’s name ends with us and I just really wanted to allow it to live on.
I’m a people person!
I am so lucky to say I love what I do and do what I love! I get to meet so many people from all walks of life and I just love it.
It’s like an evolved and more creative version of people watching from a coffee shop window. Seeing couples laugh out loud during a photoshoot, that look of just pure love when they look into each other eyes, or down at their children in their arms and them welling up when I show them the pictures, is the most unbelievable feeling. I love being a part of such special moments and memories and I’m such a people pleaser (in the best possible way!) so you’re in safe hands. This job really does feel like a dream and I’m still convinced I will wake up one day, but for now, I’m making the most of it and documenting every second and believe you should do the same.
